The process of dam construction and creation of lakes behind them can lead to geomorphic changes in the region. One of the most common changes is the activation and intensification of landslides, which can turn into a crisis in some cases. The presence of groundwater along with the possibility of pore-water overpressure is among the most important issues in controlling the stability of landslides. In general, the presence of water or pore pressure decreases the resistance of dam and increases the actuator loads; Therefore, the reliability coefficient for stability of dam will be reduced. In our country, numerous studies and works have modeled zonation of landslide risk and its stabilization since the early 70's.
