Globally, people are increasingly becoming dependent on technology in the pursuit of leisure (Dickinson, Hibbert, & Filimonau, 2016). The reliance on technologically aided leisure has given rise to diversification of the traditional leisure space, birthing new culture described as digital leisure culture. Digital leisure culture boarders on technologically aided leisure which presents a wide array of new opportunities to play, learn, get informed and entertained . Digital leisure culture is a digitally lived leisure lifestyle largely driven by globalisation, and neoliberalism.
