The quadrilateral semiconductor Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS), of type P, with a straight gap of 1.4 to 1.5 eV and a high absorption coefficient (104cm1), is considered in the visible light range as an absorbent layer in the production of solar cells. The application of Cu2ZnSnS4 film absorbent materials is promising in the field of low-cost solar cell production. In terms of high absorption coefficient, type of crystal structure and gap band energy, Cu2ZnSnS4 is like Cu (In, Ga) Se2 (CIGS) and it is one of the most attractive absorbent layer materials of the solar cell. However, unlike CIGS, which requires expensive and rare elements of In and Ga, CZTS includes abundant elements with reasonable prices, such as Zn and Sn.
